The home has a retained its “old Florida” ambiance and is reminiscent of the classic Florida beach cabins of an earlier era. The bathroom has had some updates as well, but is neither sleek nor modern. The kitchen has new appliances, but has not been updated or remodeled. Please note that this home has a private dock on the bay that is a short walk from the house - roughly 1 to 2 minutes.Ī word about "budget-friendly" homes: These are our most economical rentals and the rental prices reflect the age of the home. The owners have recently added three kayaks - two singles and one tandem - so you can explore the bay or the sand bar up close. There is also an open air porch on the south side of the house, perfect for grilling and relaxing in the sunshine during cooler winter months. You will want to spend all your time on the front porch just drinking in the view. (Speeds are not what you are used to on the mainland however.) But the real living area is the front porch with its outdoor dining, comfortable seating area and outstanding view of the Gulf of Mexico.

The living room has a comfortable seating area and flat screen TV with DirecTV and there is free wi-fi available if you need to stay connected. The porch has a locking gate to secure pets and small children. Sand Dollar Cottage is also pet friendly so all family members can enjoy a beach getaway! There is one bath upstairs with tub and shower and there is a second “rustic” half bath downstairs. There is a half bath downstairs adjacent to this new guest room. This room is small, with a window AC and is entered from outdoors. Downstairs, a new guest room offers a king bed. The kitchen is simple yet fully stocked with everything you need for your beach meals.all the spices you would ever want, and all the pots and pans you need! There are two comfortable bedrooms upstairs, one with a queen bed and a second with two twin beds so the home sleeps four comfortably. This budget-friendly cottage is cozy and rustic with knotty pine paneling that is both warm and welcoming.
